Host a Facility Tour

Facility tours are a great way to meet face-to-face with crucial decisionmakers, build relationships with your lawmakers and highlight the value ASCs provide to patients and the community. ASCA staff will walk you through every stage of the process, from scheduling your meeting to following up after the tour is finished.

Join Us on Capitol Hill for National Advocacy Day

ASCA’s National Advocacy Day program gathers participants from across the country to meet and build relationships with policymakers who make decisions that directly impact the ASC community and their patients. ASCA schedules a full day of congressional meetings on Capitol Hill for each participant. In addition, ASCA staff provide a training briefing to explain current ASC legislation and how to conduct a successful congressional meeting.

Make an Impact

ASCAPAC, ASCA’s nonpartisan political action committee (PAC), is the only PAC in the country representing the specific interests of the ASC community. ASCAPAC allows its members to pool resources and use this shared strength to advocate more efficiently and effectively. Membership in ASCAPAC is open to ASC facilities as well as individual administrators, nurses, staff members and facility owners.

ASCA’s Advocacy Fund collects financial support from stakeholders to build ASC-related advocacy programs that positively affect federal and state legislation and regulation. Anyone may contribute money to the Advocacy Fund, and there is no limit to how much you may give.

Medical Mission Scholarship Program

The ASCA Foundation has partnered with One World Surgery, a US-based nonprofit, to support its mission of providing access to high-quality surgical care globally. ASCA members are eligible for scholarships that cover the cost of participating in weeklong medical missions held at One World Surgery’s surgical centers in Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

Board and Committees

ASCA’s volunteer Board of Directors and committees are made up of individuals working in the ASC community. Board members are elected by voting representatives in ASCA member facilities and help provide ASCA with strategic guidance and oversight. Committee members assist the Board and ASCA staff in accomplishing the organization’s strategic goals.
